Cast and Crew

Production Team

Mel Nichols
Writer/Director/Showrunner

Mel (she/her) is a stage/voice actor, writer, and director who dreamt up this show during a week where customers were being absolutely heinous to her specifically and is still lightly stunned that so many people wanted to make it with her. If you’ve heard her work before, it was probably on Breathing Space. When she’s not in her recording closet, you can find her playing Stardew Valley, lifting heavy things, or tangled in the yarn of her many crochet projects. She lives in southeast Pennsylvania with her cat, Mr. Business (also a voice actor you can hear on Breathing Space).

Interiority
Producer/Documentarian

Interiority (he/him) is an audio drama writer, director, and voice actor on shows such as Breathing Space, Ghost Wax, Pantaloon Society, SINKHOLE, and more. He’s currently writing for BloodyFM and working on his upcoming sci-fi audio drama, Sundered. You can find him at @interiority on Bluesky or on his Linktree.

Sam Stark
Sound Designer/The Watchman

Sam Stark is a non-binary transmasc actor, narrator, and sound designer from Seattle, Washington. They are a parent, a spouse, a foodie, a horror video game enthusiast, and a lover of all animals. Sam is mostly known for voicing Solomon in BloodyFM’s “Shelterwood: A Suburban Gothic,” Leon in “The Gentleman from Hell,” and various other characters for Rusty Quill/Maeltopia and BloodyFM. They also narrate queer books for Macmillan, Penguin Random House, and Scholastic. Their ultimate voice acting goal is to voice a romanceable character in a Bioware game.

Amy Young
Composer/Story Development/Additional Voice Work

Amy is best known for learning a Transatlantic accent in 2 months, a disturbing love of ranch dressing, and asking way too many questions literally all the time. She is a US based voice actor, writer, sound designer, and composer. Amy and her work might be recognizable from acting and writing for Blake Skye: Private Eye, and composing for SINKHOLE. She has also acted, written, and composed for many Law of Names properties such as Dakota Gold Mysteries, Professor Pandemonium’s Peculiar Panoply, Breathing Space, and Devoid of Space. When not working on podcasts, she can be found writing, making music, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. You can find Amy on Bluesky at @achill3a.

Hera Alexander
Jude/Story Development

Hera Alexander is a voice actor living in Virginia who is very grateful for her friends Mel and Amy (get loved, nerds). She has made appearances in Breathing Space, Waterlogged, and The Storage Papers, among others, and hopes to one day be a name regular audio drama listeners think they heard once. Her favorite activities include Magic, sending puns and pictures of horrible foods to the aforementioned friends, and pacing like a zoo animal in a too-small enclosure. She can be found on Bluesky at heraherself.bsky.social and supposedly nowhere else.

Maddie J. Cooper
Dialogue Editor

Maddie (they/she) is a media production student who loves sound editing, audio design, and foley. They like cats, story telling, and going ‘did you know…’ at inopportune moments when watching films. You can find them commonly in mushroom mode – sitting in the dark with headphones on, staring at waveforms. Just don’t make any sudden movements or noises… Their customer experience comes from working in a zoo’s gift shops and charity shops. The charity shop was lovely. The gift shop less so. Photo art by @theartisteddie on Instagram. Check out her linktree!

Erin Grassie
Dialogue Editor

Erin Grassie is a nonfiction audiobook narrator who specializes in character work and narration for full cast productions and audio dramas, all from her home studio in Oakland, CA. With no nonfiction too nerdy or dense, let her teach you or tell you about something great – all day. On the flip side, her work producing, narrating, and voicing a wide range of characters (human and not) spans full cast audiobooks, audio dramas, and radio plays. She will not hesitate to embarrass her family in the grocery store by creating character voices for the produce.

Julia Lynn Sepúlveda
Production Assistant

Jules is a multi-disciplinary creative and full-time annoyance to her sweet cat Orscha. Follow their work in the audio-space with his collaborators at Speak to It Productions.

Jon Stollberg
Graphic Designer

Having built a humble life for himself, his wife, and his child, Jon dusted off his Adobe subscription and came out of Photoshop retirement for one last job: designing the logo for Store 236. (But truth be told, it’s not that hard to get Jon to come out of design retirement, he really does it for love of the game). Contact him at jstollberg@gmail.com.

You might also recognize her from other recent audio dramas, such as The MODUS Files, Once Upon a Wasteland, Frontier: Stories from Starfield, and The Kingmaker Histories, as well as a bunch of largely wacky Actual Plays (most recently, Would Be Heroes: Gilded Age). You can hear more about that in Kale’s own podcast SINKHOLE, a short form near-future science-fiction podcast exploring the impact of changing technologies on communication and relationships, as well as the important and relatable experience of living in a city best known for that one time a huge chunk of it fell into a glowing hole in the ground no one can seem to fill in.

This is the first podcast he has worked on and he is beyond thrilled to be stepping into the podcast world.
